This week on Unfiltered & Undiscovered, Curly, Braggy, and Rossy head down to the deep American South to chat with singer-songwriter, author, and engineer Martin Andrew Lowery.
Hailing from just north of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Martin combines raw Southern rock, country grit, and acoustic storytelling with a deeply personal narrative. Having faced his own battles with recovery and personal transformation, Martin uses his music as a candid blueprint to support others walking the line toward healing—all while taking a hands-on, engineering approach to tracking and self-producing his songs.
In this episode, the boys sit down with Martin to discuss:
-
The Muscle Shoals Connection: How growing up near one of the world’s most legendary music hubs shaped his sound, rhythm, and love for raw, organic tracks.
-
Music as a Recovery Tool: The story behind his raw track “Same Road” and the courage it takes to share vulnerable, unfiltered recovery stories with the world.
-
The Engineer’s Mindset: How he balances his background in engineering with the intuitive, emotional side of writing country and Southern rock tunes.
-
Faith & Self-Reliance: Navigating life as an independent artist, managing digital releases, and staying true to his core beliefs.
From studio gear setups to heavy, honest storytelling, this episode delivers real talk, deep insights, and zero filter
