Hey there, I’m Curly, and welcome to Unfiltered and Undiscovered, the podcast where three music enthusiasts explore the songs, stories, and legends of music that might not have hit your playlist yet. If you’re new here, let me set the scene. I’m the punter, the guy who swears the best Australian independent music was in1986. I’ve got the record collection to prove it. Joining me are Braggy, a dreamer waiting for his big viral hit, and Rossy, the roadie with stories from every band across Australia. Together, we dive into the best undiscovered artists from Australia and occasionally, the world.
Meet Our Special Guests
Hey y’all, it’s Curly here for episode241. We’ve got a special treat this week with the sister trio Vixens of Fall, Nina, Ren, and Lulu. These queens of boho country rock from Queensland are riding high on their new single Midnight Cowgirls. They’re making waves with their unique blend of wild, witchy western vibes. How are you, ladies? Great to have you join us.
The Voice Experience
It was quite the year for you. I was watching The Voice and saw you on screen. How was that experience? We had a great time and made lifetime friends with other contestants, which was a highlight. After not getting a chair turn, we owned it on social media. Reality TV is quite a ride, but we took it as a learning experience.
Life Updates and Music
What’s been happening since your last visit? Well, Ren got engaged, and we’ve had a whirlwind year playing gigs and festivals like CMC Rocks, which was incredible. We love performing live and it’s our happy place. We also managed a collaboration with Tree of Life, which perfectly captures our style. Midnight Cowgirls emerged from a moment of wild manifestation and aligns with our boho vibe.
The New Single: Midnight Cowgirls
Let’s talk about your new song, Midnight Cowgirls. It’s a fiery track with crunchy rock influences. You mentioned bands like Heart and influences from rock to country, making it a unique blend. We aim to showcase our energetic live presence in our music. It’s what we love doing.
Challenges and Triumphs in Music
With so much happening in your lives, how do you balance it all? We all have day jobs and dedicate a day to Vixens work. Sure, it gets tough, but the thrill of performing keeps us going. Social media can be demanding, but we manage as best as we can.
The Future Looks Bright
So, what’s next for Vixens of Fall? We have a special project in the works, bringing a broader range than before. We’re growing as artists, and it’s showing in our new material. Look out for more in November.

We’re excited about what’s coming and grateful for the support. We’ll keep you updated on our journey, and remember to check out our new tracks on Spotify. Thanks for tuning in, and see you next week on Unfiltered and Undiscovered.
